Disneyland workers in California have voted to authorise a strike, potentially affecting 14,000 employees.

This would be Disneyland’s first strike in 40 years, impacting Disneyland, Disney California Adventure, the Downtown Disney retail district and Disney-owned hotels in California.

Leaders of a coalition of four trade unions will have the option to call a strike if they are unable to negotiate a new contract deal with Disney

Workers are seeking wage increases, safety measures, and other benefits, with some facing food and housing insecurity, and high rent costs
