Marella Cruises, owned by TUI Group, is anticipating 350,000 guests across its five ships this season, with a reported second quarter occupancy of 99pc and a daily rate per guest of €197.

The company has added three new homeports, including Singapore, Marmaris, and La Romana for winter 2024-25, focusing on new deployments to attract customers who choose cruises based on destinations.

Marella’s fly-cruise model offers a seamless experience for guests within a 90-minute drive of a source airport, with their own airlift providing flexibility in deployment to destinations lacking natural airlift.

Investments include refurbishment of Marella Discovery 2 cabins, technical projects for fleet efficiency, and upcoming deployments to La Romana in the Caribbean and Limassol in the Mediterranean. The company says value for money and customer satisfaction as key factors for success.
