Ryanair monthly passenger numbers for April reached 19.3m, a record for the month, 5.5pc ahead of April 2025 and 43pc ahead of pre-pandemic. Load factor was 93pc and rolling annual 209.3m, up 4pc on the twelve months to April 2025.

It follows a 5pc increase in March, when Ryanair passenger numbers grew to 15.8m in March, up 46pc on pre pandemic. .

Michael O’Leary shared: We just closed April 90,000 passengers over budget. April was slightly weaker anyway because the first half of Easter moved into March. I think there’s a hesitancy still in June, July and August.
