flydubai will not receive the fourteen Boeing 737 MAX aircraft it was scheduled to receive this year, impacting its expansion plans.

The carrier has faced delays in receiving aircraft, with only 4 out of the 13 new aircraft received this year coming from the backlog of previous years.

flydubai currently operates a fleet of 88 aircraft, including an order for over 125 MAX aircraft.

To address the delays, flydubai has entered into ACMI contracts with companies such as Smartwings and extended leases on some aircraft to meet the surge in demand for travel.
