IAG’s activity in 2023 contributed over €6bn to the Catalan GDP and supported more than 81,000 jobs in the region

IAG’s positive impact also led to increased connectivity from the Barcelona-El Prat airport, with the airline connecting the airport to 118 cities in 34 countries and operating 122 routes
IAG’s growth at the Barcelona airport has been significant, with the company transporting 24.4m passengers in 2023 and being the group that has transported the highest number of passengers at the airport since 2011
