Dubai hosted 9.31m international overnight visitors in the first half of 2024, marking a 9pc increase over the same period in 2023 and putting the city on track for a record performance in 2024.
The city received global accolades such as being named the No.1 global destination for the third consecutive year by Tripadvisor and the Middle East’s leading destination by the World Travel Awards.
Key source markets for Dubai included the GCC, MENA, Western Europe, and South Asia, with bespoke strategies maintaining Dubai as a first-choice travel destination.
Dubai’s hotels and accommodations, including high-profile openings like The Lana and SIRO One Za’abeel, contributed to the city’s appeal for global visitors, with an average hotel occupancy of 78.7pc in H1 2024. The city’s sustainability initiatives, such as the Dubai Sustainable Tourism Stamp and Dubai Can, further showcased its commitment to ecotourism and sustainability.
