Ryanair has wet-leased an A320-200 from Livingston Air, making it the only Airbus in Ryanair’s previously all-Boeing fleet.
It will be based at Milan Orio al Serio airport. Ryanair also plans to wet lease a second A320 for Ryanair UK.
For the summer season, Ryanair has also wet-leased four B737-400s, with two from Air Contractors in Dublin and two from Air Explore in Bratislava.
The leases are to address shortfalls in the fleet caused by supply chain problems and the delivery of just 40 of the 57 anticipated new aircraft from Boeing the summer.
