
Dublin Zoo is hosting a Science Weekend on Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th of August, inviting visitors of all ages to experience science shows and interactive experiments.
The event will take place on the Great Lawn from 11.30am – 4.30pm on both days, with alternative plans in case of rain to ensure an uninterrupted weekend of excitement.
Activities include Slime Science, Barbie’s Hair-Raising Experience, Light Saber Lighting, Cola & Mentos Explosion, and Elephant Toothpaste Reaction.
Younger visitors can enjoy face painting in the Farmhouse from 11am to 5pm during the Science Weekend at Dublin Zoo, offering a weekend filled with wonder, discovery, and fun for all ages.

Dublin zoo’s Jurassic World opened in July The centre-piece is Stan, a life-size replica fossil skeleton of a male adult Tyrannosaurus rex that lived 65m. Other replica dinosaur skeletons which can be found at Zoorassic World include a Velociraptor, Oviraptor, Anhanguera, an Archaeopteryx plus life-sized replicas of a Galapagos tortoise and a Komodo dragon. Zoorassic World is also now home to Dublin Zoo’s living reptiles which comprises of 12 species.
