The privatisation of Nordica parent company Nordic Aviation Group may go ahead, with Minister of Economic Affairs and Industry Erkki Keldo indicating the new government’s intention to continue with this effort.

The government plans to privatise state-owned companies that are not essential or necessary for the primary activities of the state, following a review conducted by the previous administration.

The new government, under Prime Minister Kristen Michal, has not yet discussed changing the list of companies slated for privatisation.

The government aims to address financial issues, including tax reforms and increased defence spending, in response to regional security concerns involving Russia and Belarus.
