British Airways is suspending its flights between Heathrow and Beijing at the end of the summer schedules

The suspension affects flights until November 2025, due to extended flight times to Asia caused by the inability to use Russian airspace

The airline had only resumed flights to Beijing in June last year after a two-year hiatus due to the Covid-19 pandemic

Virgin Atlantic has also announced a suspension of its Heathrow-Shanghai route in October, citing operational complexities due to the ongoing Russian airspace closure
