Dublin Airport Authority (DAA) is rethinking an offer to build an observation deck for plane spotters at Collinstown Lane after Fingal County Council requested further information.

The council has raised concerns about issues such as the lack of toilet facilities, traffic surveys, tree surveys, and the location of bicycle stands.

DAA proposed an elevated viewing platform with seating, shelter, and parking spaces, but the council has asked for changes such as eco toilets and closer bicycle stands.

DAA is unhappy with the level of bureaucracy and requests for changes, as they believed their proposal to improve the existing viewing point would have been well received.
