The new eight-seater Eibergbahn, the world’s highest-capacity detachable 8-seater chairlift, will be readuy for winter 2024-25 with a dynamic transport capacity of 1,700 to 4,570 passengers per hour.
The chairlift has a maximum travelling speed of 5m/s, seat heating, and a variable seat insertion option from a minimum of 16 seats, depending on requirements.
The new Eibergbahn features a 140 kWP PV system on the roof of the valley station, which can generate around 50pc of the annual energy required for the chairlift.
The Eibergbahn is set to open at the start of the winter 2024-25 season and is a milestone in the SkiWelt’s efforts towards complete energy efficiency of its cable cars.
