Planners in Fingal have given approval for developer Gerry Gannon to reopen the 6,200-space former Quickpark facility at a site next to Dublin Airport.
Gannon had initially applied for an extension of permission for the site to be used as a permanent car park, but withdrew the application last week.
The site, once reopened, could serve as a large car parking facility for Dublin Airport. Mer Gannon was in legal conflict with John O’Sullivan of Quickpark, the previous owners of the site, but contact between the sides has reopened in recent months.
