Gatwick Airport has collaborated with AccessAble to launch free Detailed Access Guides covering 30 areas of the airport, including departures, arrivals, car parks, and the rail station.
The guides provide comprehensive information on accessibility features such as flooring types, signage, light and noise levels, step-free access, walking distances, seating, and accessible toilets, all verified by AccessAble surveyors.
The launch of the guides comes ahead of the busy September/October travel period, where Gatwick anticipates an increase in passengers requiring additional assistance.
AccessAble, originally known as DisabledGo, was founded by Dr. Gregory Burke to improve accessibility information for disabled individuals and now serves over five million people by providing resources across various venues and facilities.
