Heathrow Express has launched new non-refundable standard class tickets priced at £10 one-way, available for advance purchase at least 60 days prior to travel on a specified date.
This ticket option follows a successful summer promotion where 25,000 advance tickets were offered for £10, and it works in conjunction with Railcards.
In addition to the £10 tickets, Heathrow Express offers £17 tickets for bookings made 25 to 59 days in advance, and £20 tickets for bookings made between 1 and 24 days in advance.
The new pricing reflects a shift towards cost efficiency in travel, with passengers increasingly seeking customizable expenses and value.
Mark Eastwood, commercial strategy lead at Heathrow Express, said: “Passengers are increasingly using journey planners and booking tools to search for the best possible travel prices, prioritising cost efficiency more than ever. With the rise of unbundled packages, travellers now have a clearer breakdown of expenses, allowing them to select only the services they need. As a result, ancillary add-ons, such as baggage, meals, and seat selection, have gained importance post-pandemic, as people can customise their travel experience to suit their preferences and budget. The introduction of Heathrow Express guaranteeing £10 fares for those booking 60 days out has also received strong positive feedback, as people continue to seek greater value and flexibility in their travel plans.”
