Lufthansa wet leases 21 A220-300 from AirBaltic

Lufthansa Group has signed a three-year wet-lease agreement with airBaltic for up to 21 A220-300 aircraft during the summer and up to five during the winter, starting in Summer 2025.

This partnership aims to provide Lufthansa Group with greater flexibility to adapt to changing demand and introduce more seasonal routes.

The exact placement of the wet-leased aircraft has not been specified, but Brussels Airlines confirmed that four A220-300s will operate out of Brussels National in Summer 2025.

airBaltic, which operates a fleet of 48 A220-300s and has plans for further expansion, is enhancing its participation in the ACMI market while currently servicing multiple airlines within the Lufthansa Group.
