Riviera Travel announced the launch of a new river cruise ship, Riviera Resplendence, in 2026, which will accommodate 178 guests and be a sister ship to the upcoming Riviera Radiance.
The ship will feature three dining venues, including a new restaurant called Mosaic that offers a diverse range of bite-sized dishes inspired by European rivers, along with a split-level lounge and dining area for enhanced guest space.
Guests can choose from spacious Grand Balcony suites, which are the largest in the fleet, along with Superior Suites and Double Cabins, while onboard amenities will include a spa and wellness area, pool, bistro with an open kitchen, and a boutique gift shop.
Designed to meet the Gold Standard in the Green Awards program for shipping, the ship aims to enhance Riviera Travel’s commitment to quality and sustainability, with sales for its upcoming ships showing a 20pc increase compared to the rest of the fleet.
Riviera Travel hosted an event for travel agents and media in Dublin, where it announced it has appointed Ralph Uhlemann as the new business development manager for Ireland.
