NEW ROUTE: Dublin to Detroit 4w direct in summer 2025 confirmed by Delta

Delta Airlines has confirmed for 2025 its anticipated seasonal 4w service from Detroit to Dublin to start on May 7, alongside its existing routes to Dublin from Atlanta and New York JFK.

The carrier will also launch additional routes such as thrice-weekly flights between Atlanta and Brussels, and four times a week flights from Atlanta to Naples, Boston to Milan, and Minneapolis St. Paul to Rome.

Delta is enhancing existing services by adding flights from Atlanta to Athens, Zurich, Barcelona, and Rome, and will increase its Detroit-Munich service to daily.

Joe Esposito, Delta’s senior vice president of network planning, highlighted the launch of services to Catania, Sicily, and mentioned recent upgrades like the new Delta One Lounge at JFK and the rollout of free international wifi.

The new Dublin route brings Delta to 65 year-round and 14 seasonal services from Detroit, include three year-round and four seasonal trans-Atlantic. the service was threatened by the 32m passenger cap at Dublin airport.

The route has been long in the gestation, having first been proposed by the old Northwest Airlines in 2004. Northwest was subsumed into Delta in 2010, making the Atlanta-based airline the largest in the world at the time.

Alongside the rollout of free international wifi and increased premium seating across our fleet, we’re ensuring our customers enjoy the best in connectivity and comfort from the moment they arrive at the airport to when they touch down.”
