The Dromineer Nenagh Literary Festival, running from October 10-13, 2023, will feature prominent Irish authors and events in North Tipperary, highlighting its significance in Ireland’s literary landscape since its founding in 2004.

This year’s programme includes a discussion with historian Diarmaid Ferriter in conversation with Justine McCarthy. Three contemporary authors Sinéad Gleeson, Niamh Mulvey, and Fiona McPhillips will discuss their debut novels, along with poetry and music events to engage attendees. Chefs, Mark Moriarty and Denis Cotter will discuss food, recipes and their latest books with Peter Ward of Country Choice Nenagh. The festival opens on Thursday evening at Nenagh Tourist Office with a poetry and song event, and features a series of talks and discussions throughout the weekend, including a focus on personal narratives and significant societal changes in Ireland.
