Tourism Ireland hosted Halloween-themed travel trade events in Munich and Ghent, promoting the holiday as a key reason to visit Ireland during the autumn season to approximately 70 tour operators, travel agents, and journalists.

Nine Irish tourism industry partners participated in the events, offering networking opportunities and presentations on Halloween celebrations, including Púca and Derry Halloween festivals.

Attendees sampled cultural experiences, such as whiskey tastings from The Dublin Liberties Distillery in Munich and traditional barmbrack in Ghent, alongside performances by the Armagh Rhymers.

Nadine Lehmann of Tourism Ireland emphasized the importance of promoting off-season events like Halloween to extend the tourism season and attract visitors year-round, similar to the role of St. Patrick’s Day in early spring.
