Riyadh Air has ordered sixty A321-200neo aircraft from Airbus as it prepares for its launch in the first half of 2025, with the deal confirmed on October 30.

The startup has also secured a previous order for thirty-nine Boeing B787-9s with options for 33 more, totalling a commitment to receive seventy-two B787s between 2025 and 2029.

The airline’s CEO stated that it aims to achieve its Air Operator Certificate (AOC) by the end of the year and is on track to begin revenue flights in early 2025.

Riyadh Air plans to minimize operational complexity by maintaining a fleet of only two aircraft types, focusing on inbound leisure, VFR traffic, and connections via its base in Riyadh.
