Flights in and out of Bali have resumed after disruptions caused by ash clouds from the Laki-Laki volcano on Mount Lewotobi, located about 500km east of Bali. Airlines including Qantas and Virgin Australia confirmed that services are returning to normal today.

Virgin Australia announced that all flights to and from Bali’s Denpasar Airport would operate as scheduled, while Jetstar is running six flights today, including both scheduled and “ad-hoc” arrangements. Additionally, Qantas will operate three flights to Bali from Australia.

Airlines are contacting passengers affected by recent cancellations to provide rebooking options and refunds. Jetstar stated it would monitor volcanic activity closely and is planning additional recovery flights if necessary.

The volcanic eruptions from Laki-Laki started on November 3 and caused significant destruction, resulting in nine fatalities, numerous injuries, and evacuations of over 11,000 people. Although the last eruption was recorded on Tuesday night, the situation remains under observation for potential further disruptions.
