Aer Lingus is restructuring its ground operations at Dublin Airport and has requested staff to consider taking unpaid leave starting in the new year.
The restructuring will impact multiple departments, including check-in, boarding, arrivals, and baggage tracing, as indicated in an internal airline document.
While the airline did not explicitly mention job cuts, it acknowledged that there would be a reduction in workforce numbers through attrition and a freeze on hiring.
Despite speculation among staff, sources confirmed there is “no basis” to suggest that the restructuring will affect senior management roles.
