
ASL Airlines Ireland has announced the addition of a B737-800BDSF to its fleet, delivering high operational value with advanced avionics, better performance, reduced fuel burn and reduced maintenance costs.
Then airline said it was seeking up to 20 additional B737-800 Boeing Converted Freighters (BCF) during the European Regions Airline Association (ERA) conference in March 2022.
The airline’s commitment includes 10 firm orders and 10 options, building on a previous agreement for 20 B737-800 BCF aircraft, demonstrating ASL’s ongoing investment in enhancing its operational capabilities.
The first B737-800BCF was delivered in January 2021, with the final aircraft from the original order slated to enter service in late 2022, while the new order’s first aircraft is currently being converted for service in Q2 2023.
This strategic expansion will facilitate geographic growth for ASL Airlines, improve fuel efficiency, and reduce operational costs, contributing to greater reliability and lower carbon emissions in their air cargo operations.
