CSO reports visitor numbers up 7pc and average spend up 15pc for January to November 2024

The CSO reports a 7pc increase in overseas visitors to Ireland for January to November 2024, totaling 6.2m visitors.

Tourism revenue grew by 13pc, amounting to €5.7bn in the same period, a positive economic trend for Ireland’s tourism sector.

November 2024 saw a decline of 5pc in visitor spending compared to the previous year, totaling €316m, while visitor numbers decreased by 9pc.

Individual visitors in November spent, on average, 4pc more per trip and 15pc more per night compared to November 2023, showcasing increased spending habits among travelers.
