The Merchant Hotel in Belfast has introduced a new cocktail priced at €1,200 (£1,000), named the Midleton Forêt de Tronçais, which features luxury whiskey aged in rare French oak casks.
This launch is part of the hotel’s Rare & Refined Collection, which presents a selection of high-end cocktails crafted with premium whiskeys, including Midleton and Macallan.
The Merchant Hotel is known for its previous record-holding cocktail, the £750 Mai Tai from 2017, listed in the Guinness Book of Records at the time..
The new cocktail menu also includes more affordable options starting from £14.95 (€18), designed to cater to a broad range of flavor preferences while maintaining high-quality craftsmanship.
