Thai Airways International plans to exit its court-supervised business rehabilitation and relist on the Stock Exchange of Thailand in the first half of 2025, as revealed by administrator Piyasvasti Amranand this week.
The airline recently completed a capital restructure amounting to THB76bn (USD2.26bn), including a debt-to-equity swap and share issuance, enabling a return to expansion mode.
By 2027, Thai Airways aims to grow its fleet from 79 to 143 aircraft, with plans to reduce the number of aircraft types and phase out B777-200ER flights, while also introducing new B787-9s and A321neo jets.
The airline is resuming international flights, including Brussels, and operating double daily services to major cities like London and Sydney, while also increasing frequencies on its intra-Asian routes to support long-haul traffic.
