A new €5.5m cycle track has been inaugurated in Dublin, stretching from George’s Quay to Aston Quay, offering enhanced pedestrian and cycling facilities.
The project was completed 18pc under budget and ahead of schedule, with construction commencing in March 2024, led by Dublin City Council and the National Transport Authority.
This cycle route includes improvements such as segregated cycle paths and upgraded crossings, promoting safer conditions for cyclists and pedestrians in the city centre.
The initiative supports Dublin’s Climate Action Plan by encouraging active travel, which aims to lower transport emissions and foster a more sustainable future.
