A group of German travel agents has been visiting Ireland to explore attractions in Cork city and county.

The trip is organised by Tourism Ireland, with Fáilte Ireland and Touristik Aktuell, a German travel trade publication.

The itinerary includes visits to key sites such as the Rock of Cashel and Charles Fort, along with experiences at Clonakilty Distillery and Mizen Head.

The agents participated in a Kinsale Heritage walking tour and a pottery session, as well as cycling on the Cork Harbour Greenway.

Nadine Lehmann, Tourism Ireland’s Manager Germany, shared: “Tourism Ireland was delighted to invite this group of German travel agents to visit Ireland, to experience at first-hand the wealth of things to see and do here for German holidaymakers. Seeing is believing – and our aim is that when they return home, they will be even more enthusiastic about the destination, helping to secure a greater share of their business for Ireland in 2025 and beyond.”
