Tourism Ireland hosts five Basque travel journalists to celebrate new Cork-Bilbao route

Five travel journalists from the Basque region of Spain visited Cork city, Kinsale and Cobh to promote the new Aer Lingus flight from Bilbao.

The visit aimed to enhance awareness of Cork’s tourism potential through articles and content produced by the visiting journalists.

The itinerary included visits to Blarney Castle, Midleton Distillery, and a traditional music session, showcasing Cork’s cultural and historical sites.

Susan Bolger of Tourism Ireland shared the importance of experiencing Cork’s appeal first-hand for effective promotion to potential visitors.

The journalists participated in a range of activities, including a boat trip and an e-bike tour, allowing them to fully engage with Cork’s scenic attractions.
