A new youth education space and an integrated lift have been added to improve accessibility, along with a sun-trap patio for visitors to enjoy.
Opening seven days a week from 9.30 am to 5.00 pm, the museum will offer guided tours every 40 minutes and a daily walking tour at 2.15 pm.
Projected visitor numbers are expected to exceed 215,000 annually by 2035, generating an economic impact of €24.7m over the next decade.
