Kerry County Council has launched the first two of a planned series of eBike charging stations in Killarney and Kenmare. The charging stations operate on a pilot initiative aimed at promoting low-carbon travel options across the county.

A total of eight eBike charging stations are planned, with additional sites like Fenit and Listowel expected to be operational soon. Each station features bikeep app-enabled charging docks equipped with a locking mechanism and anti-theft alarms.

Martin Grady Cathaoirleach of the Killarney MD shared: “By making it easier and safer for people to choose low-carbon travel options, we are building a greener and more connected Kerry for everyone.”

In Kenmare: Kieran O’Halloran, Norma Moriarty, Dara Walsh
In Killarney: Jonathan Noonan, Martin Grady, Dara Walsh and Matthew Farrell.
