Galway’s first dog playground has opened, located in Dunlin Village student resident, University of Galway: Clós spraoi na madraí. The playground is exclusively available to tourists as on-campus students cannot keep pets during term time.

Owned by Atalia Student Residences DAC, a subsidiary of University ofI Galway, Dunlin Village offers pet-friendly rooms for short-term visitors during the summer months. The riverside walks on the University campus are popular among dog owners in Galway. Dunlin Village promotes its ‘pet friendly’ accommodation as a welcoming option for travellers with dogs.

Dunlin Village’s website shared “Love to travel with your canine companion? Pet-friendly summer accommodation is available on the beautiful parkland campus of University of Galway. We love pets just as much as you! Book one of our dedicated pet-friendly apartments and rest assured knowing both you and your pet will receive a warm welcome and have a comfortable stay.”
