The bathing prohibition at Clogherhead Beach has been lifted following resampling on 16th July. Water quality at Clogherhead now meets health and safety standards, allowing swimmers to return.

The temporary ban was imposed due to concerns over potential contamination from environmental factors. Local businesses are expected to benefit from the lifted ban with warm weather approaching. Louth County Council shared, “The health and safety of beach users remains a top priority.”
