
Ryanair operated over 320,000 flights between June and August 2025, with more than 85,000 flown by the 737 MAX, representing over one in four flights.
The Irish parent airline handled 65pc of MAX flights, with Malta Air at 23pc and Buzz in Poland at 11pc, maintaining a balanced market spread.
Spain, the UK, Italy, Ireland, and Poland were top destinations, with Ireland and Portugal seeing the highest MAX usage at 40pc and 39pc of flights, respectively.
Dublin led with nearly 5,000 MAX flights, followed by Alicante and Stansted, while Tenerife South had the highest MAX concentration at 70pc of Ryanair services.
The busiest MAX aircraft, EI-HGG, flew 542 sectors, averaging over five daily sectors, showcasing Ryanair’s high-efficiency utilisation model.
Michael O’Leary shared: “I don’t care who makes them, whether it’s Boeing, Airbus or Comac. As long as the price is right, we’d buy it.”
