Beechpark House, an 18th-century Regency cottage on 22.7 acres in Clonsilla, Dublin 15, has been sold for €4.32m to Luttrellstown Estate, an exclusive hotel owned by John Magnier and JP McManus.

The 9,365 sq ft property, once home to Antarctic explorer Ernest Shackleton after his family’s 1919 purchase, includes an 11-bedroom main house, four-bedroom gate lodge and one-bedroom summer house.

The house features reception rooms added in 1820, with a tree-lined driveway off the R121 and shared rear access to Shackleton Gardens near Clonsilla train station.

Located west of Blanchardstown and north of Castleknock, it neighbours Hermitage and Castleknock golf clubs, Porterstown Park and Farmleigh House and Estate. The M50 provides 30-minute city access, with Dublin Airport 20 minutes away.
