
The impact of Saturday’s cyber attack on the MUSE system proved by Collins Aerospace continued to have significant impact in three European airports on Sunday. There were 75 cancellations in Brussels Zaventem, 45 outbound and 30 inbound, down considerably form the 144 which were originally anticipated.
Dublin airport saw 13 cancellations on Sunday, four outbound and nine inbound. This was a mirror image of the Saturday cancellations, nine outbound and four inbound.
Many of the Sunday cancellations were return legs of Aer Lingus trans-Atlantic flights cancelled on Saturday when an unattended bag in the security processing area, left by a transfer passenger from Heathrow to New York, caused Terminal 2 to be evacuated for 90 minutes:
