Tom Comerford, with over 20 years of experience in Michelin-starred kitchens, is appointed Executive Head Chef at Hunter’s Yard, home to The Hound restaurant at Mount Juliet Estate.

Comerford’s career includes working at La Tante Claire, Landmark Hotel, and Ballyfin Demesne, where he earned a Michelin star. His focus will be on refined, ingredient-led cooking rooted in Ireland’s seasons and local produce.

Mount Juliet’s fine-dining restaurant, The Lady Helen, retains a Michelin star under Executive Head Chef John Kelly. Comerford’s appointment strengthens Mount Juliet’s position as a leading culinary destination in Ireland.

Tom Comerford shared: “Mount Juliet Estate is a truly special place with an incredible culinary legacy. I’m delighted to join the team at The Hunters Yard. My focus will be on refined, ingredient-led cooking that feels rooted in Ireland’s seasons and surroundings.”
