Rosses Point Community Boat Park has received €558,000 in funding under the Rural Regeneration Development Fund to enhance Sligo’s maritime and tourism sectors.
The project will provide safe access, berthing, and amenities for 105 vessels, supporting sailing, fishing, and eco-tourism.
It aims to revive Jackson’s Pier and the Cove, boosting local businesses and aligning with Sligo’s tourism vision.
The facility will be Sligo’s only marine hub accessible at all tide levels, promoting economic growth and sustainability.
Minister Marian Harkin shared: “This is a hugely positive development for the people of Sligo and the wider northwest region.”
