Oireachtas na Samhna opens in Belfast

Oireachtas na Samhna – Ireland’s oldest Irish language and arts gathering is launched in the International Convention and Exhibition Centre Belfast. Oireachtas na Samhna has opened in Belfast at the International Conference Centre running until 2 November.

The attendance exceeded 5,000 on the opening day with day tickets at €20. Competitions covered poetry, music, drama, and storytelling in Irish. The schedule included 150 events over four days.

TG4 streamed events live including Nuacht TG4 on Friday.
