Funding of €13,000 has been awarded for improvements at Cleighran More Pier, Drumshanbo.
Upgrades include new changing facilities and covered seating area. The investment enhances safety, accessibility, and enjoyment for swimmers.
The grant was provided under Healthy Ireland initiative by Minister for Public Health, Wellbeing and the National Drugs Strategy Jennifer Murnane O’Connor. Developments support health, wellbeing, social connection, and tourism in northwest region.
Minister Marian Harkin shared “This investment will strengthen the infrastructure of our coastal and lakeside amenities, making them more accessible for all, including people with reduced mobility. It’s an important contribution to physical and mental wellbeing and also adds to our tourism offering in the northwest.”
