
AIDA has announced that AIDAluna and AIDAbella will undergo extensive modernisation at the Chantier Naval shipyard in Marseille, France.
AIDAluna will be in the shipyard from October 22 to December 10, 2025, and will offer a five-day cruise upon completion.
AIDAbella is scheduled for refurbishment from January 21 to March 11, 2026, followed by a cruise from Palma de Mallorca to various destinations.
Onboard entertainment will include performances by artists such as Max Mutzke and comedian Mirja Boes on AIDAluna, and Glasperlenspiel and Matze Knop on AIDAbella. The modernisation will feature renovated cabins, an expanded suite range, and new bars and restaurants, enhancing the overall guest experience.
In a written statement AIDA shared “The ships will feature renovated cabins, an expanded range of suites and a fresh color concept. After 49 days of modernization, the ship will sail ‘Fall in love with AIDAluna again,’ a five-day cruise from Palma de Mallorca. Highlights include live music from artists, including Max Mutzke, who performs soul, pop and jazz. The AIDAbella will also be in the shipyard from January 21 to March 11, 2026.”
