Air France has unveiled a new 486 sqm lounge at Frankfurt Airport’s Terminal 3, operated in partnership with Global Lounge Network. The facility is located in the Schengen area on level 5 of the new terminal and features Air France’s signature colour palette of blue, white and red, with design elements including historical posters and the carrier’s winged seahorse emblem. Amenities include seating for 58 guests, a work zone with four individual workstations and a phone booth, and a dining area with self-service buffet counters and seating options including a large communal table.
The lounge also includes an exclusive area for Flying Blue Ultimate members with four Fritz Hansen chairs, similar to the airline’s Chicago O’Hare Terminal 5 lounge which opened last year. The Terminal 3 lounge operates daily between 5am and 9.30pm, with entry reserved for Air France and KLM business class passengers except those travelling on Business Light fares. Customers with Gold, Platinum and Ultimate status in the Flying Blue loyalty programme also access the lounge, as do SkyTeam Elite Plus members, while Economy class passengers and Silver or Explorer Flying Blue members can purchase access if space is available.
Air France currently operates up to five daily flights between Frankfurt and Paris CDG, allowing for connections onto the carrier’s global network. This opening represents the carrier’s fifth major lounge launch in two years, following new facilities at Los Angeles International Airport in 2024, Chicago O’Hare, an expanded space at Paris CDG Terminal 2E, and a new lounge at Heathrow T4 which includes a Clarins treatment room. The recent opening of Terminal 3 has allowed Frankfurt Airport to move all airlines previously operating from Terminal 2 into the new facility, with the 30-year-old terminal now closed for a €1.5bn renovation programme.
