The Irish Aviation Authority has published submissions received in response to its Draft Determination on maximum airport charges at Dublin Airport for the 2027 to 2031 regulatory period. The regulator has confirmed that all responses will be assessed before a Final Determination is issued before the end of 2026.

Ryanair supported the proposal to reduce airport charges by approximately 15pc but argued for deeper cuts. The airline claimed carriers have overpaid more than €200m in airport charges since 2023. Ryanair linked rising charges to its decision to reduce its Summer 2026 Dublin schedule by 10pc resulting in the removal of approximately onem seats.

Aer Lingus supported the overall direction of the Draft Determination and described the proposed charge levels as directionally reasonable. The airline called for stronger mechanisms to ensure Dublin Airport delivers infrastructure projects efficiently. DA Terminal 3 Limited advocated for a future third terminal development and argued that current expansion plans will not provide sufficient long-term capacity.
