American Airlines has unveiled a newly premium-configured Boeing 777-300ER, retrofitted with its newest Flagship interiors that debuted on its Boeing 787-9P and A321XLR aircraft. The Dallas/Fort Worth-based carrier is bringing its new signature product to 20 of its 777-300ER aircraft by 2027, with the first retrofitted aircraft tail number N718AN arriving at Dallas in mid-August after undergoing its full makeover in Hong Kong. This aircraft represents the most premium-heavy aircraft in the US, offering 114 premium seats including 70 Flagship Suites across nineteen rows in two cabins.
The seats feature a 1-2-1 reverse herringbone configuration granting all passengers direct aisle access, with new sliding privacy doors providing peaceful seclusion. The eight bulkhead seats are branded as Flagship Suite Preferred, offering 19 pc more bed space and 42 pc more living area than other Flagship Suite seats. Each seat features a 17-inch 4K touchscreen with Bluetooth connectivity, a wireless charging pad, universal power outlet, USB-A and USB-C charging ports, with dedicated storage areas including a larger cubby next to the screen that fits a laptop.
The special centennial-themed amenity kits rank among the best available globally, with three collectable designs paying homage to distinct eras in American’s history. The Astrojet kit features an orange lightning bolt across dark blue canvas, the Silverbird kit pays homage to the 1990s era with red, white and blue tribar stripe across silver finish, and the red Forward kit symbolises American’s present era. The kits feature skincare items from Joanna Vargas including hand and body lotion, lip balm, towelette, and under-eye patches, with Flagship Suite Preferred passengers receiving facial mist, a cosmetic sheet mask and a foldable hair comb.
