Stakeholders have been engaging in a public consultation that the Aircraft Noise Competent Authority has launched on the future growth plans for Dublin Airport.
The consultation addresses a planning application from daa to raise the airport’s permitted passenger capacity from 32m to 40m passengers each year together with supporting infrastructure projects.
The consultation opened on 28 May 2026 and continues until 3 September 2026. It centres on the management and mitigation of aircraft noise linked to the proposed expansion. ANCA operates as an independent directorate within Fingal County Council. It monitors aircraft noise impacts on surrounding communities and regulates where necessary.
