Minister for Public Expenditure Jack Chambers has revealed an additional €6bn for Dublin’s MetroLink project as part of Budget 2027. The funding will be spent between 2027 and 2030. The estimated total cost of the MetroLink project ranges from €14.4bn to €17.5bn with the expected centre point of €15.75bn. Work on the ground for MetroLink is expected to begin next year with a view to operations beginning in about 10 to 12 years time between 2036 and 2038.
