Travel agency consortium powerhouse CCRA International, based in Fort Worth, Texas, has confirmed its acquisition of ABC Global Services, creating one of the largest and most comprehensive consortia in the industry.

CCRA and ABC dually branded their air and hotel programmes in 2004, but they did not merge. The deal enhances hotel booking capabilities, agent support, and global reach for travel advisors worldwide.

Covering 9,000 travel agencies, CCRA encompasses 9,000 travel agencies, 40,000 travel advisers mainly in USA, and more than US$7bn  in annual hotel sales and more than US$275m million in air bookings

Originally Computerized Corporate Rate Association, CCRA pioneered the first 24/7 after hours call center of its kind in the 19790s,launched rate codes for GDS-enabled agencies in the 1990s, allowing agents access to exclusive, discounted rates and revenue opportunities, and introduced the first-ever booking portal for global hotel inventory.

CCRA shared in a written statement: The partnership offers broader access to relevant audiences and programmes, enhancing visibility and opportunities. With an expanded global reach and engagement, clients can connect with markets and partners worldwide. In addition, meaningful constituent services will be provided, ensuring clients receive attentive support tailored to their needs. Though they are united as one organisation now, the familiar CCRA and ABC teams and contacts remain in place, ensuring ongoing support and a “business as usual—only stronger” experience. Dee Runyan will continue in her role as president of ABC, reporting to Dic Marxen, CCRA’s CEO & president.
