Celebrity Cruises takes delivery of Xcel & starts construction of Xcite

Celebrity Cruises has taken delivery of Celebrity Xcel and announced that construction of sixth Edge Series ship Celebrity Xcite has started in Saint-Nazaire.

Celebrity Xcel will begin seven-night itineraries from Fort Lauderdale in November to Bahamas, Mexico, Cayman Islands, Puerto Plata, St Thomas, and St Maarten.In summer 2026 Celebrity Xcel sails seven- to 11-night Mediterranean routes from Barcelona and Athens with overnight in Madeira.

Guests contributed to Celebrity Xcel design through the Xcel Dream Makers program. Celebrity Xcite is programmed to set sail in 2028.
