Dublin has been designated to host the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) Annual Safety Conference 2026 on 18th-19th November, at the InterContinental Hotel, Ballsbridge, in cooperation with the Irish Aviation Authority.
The conference will form part of Ireland’s EU Presidency programme and has been gathering aviation regulators, airline executives, manufacturers, service providers, pilots and safety professionals under the theme “Safety Together: Turning Priorities into Action”. The programme reflects the rapidly evolving nature of aviation, with opening sessions examining emerging safety challenges arising from technological innovation, geopolitical developments and changing commercial models.
General aviation feature prominently through a dedicated panel on EASA’s Conspicuity Programme, which aimed to improve situational awareness and collision avoidance in uncontrolled airspace. The session will examine progress achieved so far and explored how future technological solutions could support both traditional airspace users and emerging sectors such as unmanned aircraft systems. Other topics discussed will include the future of Safety Management Systems, the impact of socioeconomic factors on aviation safety, ATM systems certification, adverse weather resilience, supply chain challenges and the growing influence of artificial intelligence on safety-critical operations.
Delegates will also discuss how the industry could attract and retain the next generation of aviation professionals and how leadership could use safety as a competitive advantage rather than simply a regulatory requirement. A networking reception will be hosted by the Irish EU Presidency on the evening of 18th November offered attendees the opportunity to continue discussions and build new industry connections.
